Resize cards by hand, per-card styles & save reminders
NewResize any card by hand — switch on the resize handle from the card menu, drag to the size you want, and reset back to auto size whenever you like. Avatars scale with the card, and every resize can be undone in one step.
NewA larger, touch-friendly resize handle appears on phones and tablets, and the handle stays off until you turn it on so you can't resize a card by accident.
NewGive a single card its own card style without changing the rest of the tree, using the style picker in the card menu. If you later change the tree-wide style, you'll be asked what should happen to the cards you've customized.
NewPortrait and Landscape cards now have a draggable handle for adjusting how much of the card the image fills — card by card.
NewSpotlight cards can now have their own accent color, chosen per card from the card menu or left to follow the tree's accent color.
NewA Remove Image button in the card menu clears an uploaded photo or a built avatar in one step.
NewFree accounts now get a gentle save reminder when there are unsaved changes, with a Save now button, a don't-show-again option, and a link to upgrade to Pro for automatic saves.

NewThe Save button is now more present in your option menus, with live sync status that flips from Saving… to Saved and warns you when you're offline or hit a sync conflict.
NewFree users can now work from tree draft that is first stored on device. Edit freely in your browser, then press Save when you're ready to sync to your account so you can access your updated tree from anywhere. Auto-save is a Pro feature available once you have upgraded your account.

Easier connections, multi-parent prompts & card color for everyone
NewDrag a connection line onto any character card to link it — you no longer have to hit the tiny dot on the target card. Dropping anywhere on the card creates the connection, with the line attaching to the correct side automatically.
NewWhen you connect a child to a parent who has a spouse (or spouses), you'll now be asked which parents the child should be linked to. Pick any combination of parents from a checklist showing each parent's name and title.
NewFor families with more than two parents, the parent-selection dialog always appears so you stay in control of who is linked to whom.
NewDelete a connection line straight from the line's toolbar — a dedicated Delete action is now available next to the style and label options.
NewThe card color picker is now available to everyone. Customize your card colors on offline trees too; premium colors still require Pro.
ImprovedThe expand-card button has moved off the card and now sits neatly beside the color wheel below each focused card, keeping the card surface clean.

Themed backgrounds in image exports

Flexible card sizes and character life dates

NewThe character view side-panel now shows a locate button in the header — click it to instantly center the canvas on that character.
NewThe 'Type a name to create new' quick-add feature in relationship search dropdowns is available to signed-in users.
NewFrom the character view side-panel clicking any relationship character card will center the canvas view onto that character.
ImprovedCharacter view side-panel allows direct editing of each character detail such as their name, title, bio and relationships information.
Better controls for shared trees and folders
NewPro users can now share entire folders with collaborators, giving them access to every tree in the folder from one place.
NewThe Shared with me area now includes Leave actions for shared trees, shared folders, and trees shown inside shared folders.
ImprovedLeaving shared trees now shows a confirmation warning before removing yourself from a shared tree or folder.
ImprovedFree users’ family trees remain private by default, while Pro sharing tools make it clearer when you’re inviting collaborators or sharing by link.
More reliable mode switching

NewYou can now set a custom background and text color for all cards on your tree at once — find it in the Style panel under Card Colors.
NewThe heart icon on spouse connection lines is now draggable — slide it anywhere along the line to position it exactly where you want it. Its position is saved automatically.
NewWhen dragging the couple heart icon or joint, snap guides appear to help you align it perfectly to the source, midpoint, or target of the line.
